Programs
The Department of Economics and Finance offers degrees in Economics, Finance, and Insurance & Risk Management. Here, we offer a challenging world-class education with opportunities for achievement, growth, and real-world experience.
As you move through the curriculum, you'll encounter case studies, lectures, small group projects, and innovative methods of learning. Our student-faculty ratios are low, so we can help you succeed with both your coursework and give you plenty of one-on-one time with faculty members. Our faculty members have contributed to both Congressional oversight committees and Senate hearings on public policy issues, been referenced in publications such as the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times, have appeared on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams, as well as many local media appearances. They have been hired as consultants by economic development organizations as well as by various law firms. They have also published research in regional, national, and international journals.
Our graduates have careers at many respected organizations, and many have gone on to pursue higher education in business administration and law. Our degree programs will equip you with the skill set that employers want — and are willing to pay handsomely to get.
